What pill has 341 on it

With over 40 million prescriptions in the US, the E 341 pill—known by most by its brand name, Aderrall—is one of the most commonly prescribed pills in America.

With a pill this common in circulation, chances are you may know a couple people that take it, if you yourself aren’t taking it. Stay updated on the uses, side effects, interactions, and warnings of taking the E 341 pill to ensure proper use and efficacy. Read on to learn more.

What Is the E 341 Blue Pill?

The e 341 pill is made of dextroamphetamine-amphetamine and is a stimulant mostly used to help those with ADHD.

Dextroamphetamine-Amphetamine Composition

The E 341 blue pill is composed of dextroamphetamine-amphetamine. Dextroamphetamine-amphetamine is a combination medication known as a stimulant. Stimulants help increase the ability to pay attention, stay focused on a task at hand, and may also improve listening skills. They do this by boosting the amount of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain, which increases activity in the central nervous system.

Is the Adderall 10mg Blue Pill the Same as the E 341 Pill?

Yes, they are the same pills. Adderall is the common brand name for the E 341 pill. Although the E 341 blue round pill is Adderall, that is not the only form of it. Adderall also comes in white tablets, yellow pills, and more depending on stimulant activity and type of Adderall it is. Some are extended-release medications, while others are instant-release.

Characteristics of the E341 Pill

The E 341 pill comes in a round shape that is about 7.00 mm in length. It’s known for its characteristic blue color, and is 10mg worth of dextroamphetamine-amphetamine. The E 341 pill is only available through a prescription.

Drug Class

The E341 pill is classified as a CNS (central nervous system) stimulant, which helps speed up mental and physical processes.

Uses of the Round Blue Pill E 341

The round blue pill E 341, also known by its brand name of Adderall, is mostly used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, also known as ADHD. Individuals who take the E 341 pill for their ADHD find themselves able to resist impulsive behavior, stay focused for longer, and reduce hyperactive behavior.

Sometimes, the E 341 pill is also prescribed to help some cases of narcolepsy by helping the user stay awake during the daytime.

Side Effects of the E 341 Blue Adderall Pill

Side effects of the E 341 Adderall pill vary depending on dosage, use, weight, and more. Some people may get an allergic reaction, while others may experience more common side effects.

Common Side Effects

Some common side effects include:

  • Loss of appetite

  • Dry mouth
  • Upset stomach, or pain in stomach

Serious Side Effects

Serious side effects of taking the E 341 blue pill include:

  • Signs of blood flow problems in the fingers or toes, like coldness, numbness, pain, or skin color changes)
  • Unusual wounds on the fingers or toes
  • Mental/mood/behavior changes, including agitation, aggression, mood swings, depression, abnormal thoughts, thoughts of suicide
  • Uncontrolled movements
  • Continuous chewing movements/teeth grinding
  • Outbursts of words/sounds
  • Change in sexual ability/desire
  • Priapism

Another serious side effect is an increase in blood pressure. While taking adderall, it is important to monitor your blood pressure and tell your doctor if you are noticing any alarming results.

If you take the E 341 blue pill and notice any of the following effects, call emergency services right away. Although rare, these are the signs of an allergic reaction to the E 341 pill.

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Pain in your chest, jaw, or left arm
  • Fainting
  • Severe headaches
  • Fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeats
  • Seizures
  • Swollen ankles or feet
  • Extreme lethargy and tiredness
  • Blurred vision
  • Weakness on one side of the body
  • Difficulty speaking
  • Confusion

Lastly, taking the E 341 pill could potentially lead to a condition known as serotonin syndrome.  This is when there is an excess of serotonin in your body that leads to adverse effects, including fast heartbeat, hallucinations, loss of coordination, severe dizziness, severe nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, twitching muscles, unexplained fever, unusual agitation/restlessness. The risk of developing this while taking Adderall increases if you are also taking other medications that increase serotonin.

Dangers of  Taking the E 341 Pill

Like many prescription pills, the E 342 pill can become dangerous if misused or used without a prescription.

Interactions With Other Substances

The E 341 pill works by increasing serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. Because of this, it may have adverse reactions when combined with other substances that have similar or different effects.

  • Other prescription drugs. Always keep your primary care physician in the loop of the other kinds of prescription medications you are taking. Adderall could have adverse effects when combined with tricyclic antidepressants like imipramine and could contribute to serotonin toxicity.
  • MAOIs. When mixed with MAO inhibitors, the E 341 pill could have serious, and sometimes even deadly, effects.
  • Products that raise blood pressure. Because the E 341 pill also raises blood pressure, combining it with other products, like cough syrup or some dietary supplements, that do the same thing could raise your blood pressure to a level that is dangerous.
  • Alcohol. Never mix the E 341 pill or any kind of Adderall pill with alcohol. Doing so could result in serious side effects, and even lead to cardiac arrest or death. Mixing the two could result in things like: Uncontrollable vomiting, stroke, heart arrhythmias, tremors, loss of consciousness, paranoia, anxiety, malnutrition, or psychotic episodes.
  • Other drugs and substances. Similar to alcohol, mixing Adderall with drugs like cocaine or heroin leads to serious complications. You could be risking the possibility of overdose or death.

Misusing E 341 & Addiction Risk Factors

E 341 is classified as a controlled substance, which means that it has a high addiction risk factor. In fact, Adderall addiction and misuse is rampant in the US right now, and many ER visits come as a result of misusing Adderall or combining it with other substances.

Precautions

Always consult your doctor if you want to begin taking Adderall. Make sure that all the medications you take, both OTC and prescription, are okay to be combined with alcohol. If you notice any side effects worsening or severe symptoms of an allergic reaction, call 911 right away.

Overdose

The overdose rate for Aderrall is usually 20 mg to 25 mg for every kilogram of body weight. However, this can change, especially when combined with other substances or alcohol. Adderall can lead to death in some cases of overdose.
