We want to help the future generation achieve their dreams through an academic scholarship. This is a $1,000 scholarship to a college student who submitted a 500 word essay following this prompt:

Explore the role of societal stigma in hindering individuals from seeking and receiving addiction treatment. Discuss strategies to reduce stigma and promote a more supportive environment for those struggling with addiction.

The deadline will be August 30th, and the winner will be contacted on September 9th. Essays can be sent to [email protected] with the subject line: Gratitude Lodge Essay 2025. In addition to this the following will also need to be attached to the email:

• Picture of applicant’s ID
• Proof of applicant’s attendance at a University as of Fall 2025

Finally, unless specified otherwise, we will feature the winner of our scholarship on our website and social media. It will be a picture of the winner, what they are studying and what they are passionate about.
